Find an exhibition: directions to the venues
Inglewood Town Hall: Verdon Street crosses the Main Road near the pedestrian crossing lights; go left if you’re coming from Bridgewater, right from the Wedderburn direction. The big white building is the Town Hall proper where you’ll find the After the Fire exhibition, and there’s access to the Supper Room where you’ll see Paul Cavell’s retrospective and where the in-conversation at Cocktail Hour on Friday will be held. Access to the Walkway Gallery and the Golden Palms is via the stairs here and also through the Community Neighbourhood House entrance which is to the left of the Town Hall, via the automatic doors. There you’ll find Emma Gartside’s show and she’ll be demonstrating how she makes metal art. The Sunday memoir workshop is in the House, in the meeting room downstairs off from Emma’s lounge area setup.
Nimmitabel, where the Swanky Party is on Saturday from 4pm, is easy to find - it’s right over the road from the Town Hall on Verdon Street.
Brooke Street is the Main Road through Inglewood - cafes, shops (including the famous collectables stores).
The Goods Shed, where All Manner of Magic and The 2 of Us are on show, can be a bit tricky to find: coming from Bridgewater, before you get to the bend in the road that leads down the main street, you turn right at Station Street. Look out for the red brick building on your right. From Wedderburn direction, it’s a left turn into Verdon Street, go to the end of the road and turn right into Southey Street which bends into Station Street, where you’ll see the Goods Shed on your left.
The Eucalyptus Distillery Museum is on the edge of town, where Brooke Street becomes Calder Highway once more, and close to the service station, right hand side from the Bridgewater direction, left from Wedderburn.
Tarnagulla Road starts at the sharp bend where the Calder becomes Brooke Street. Mal Gilmour’s house and studio is on your left, just a few houses from that corner.
