Archer is a singer and musician, a poet with both words and voice. He sings – in a voice so resonant it gives you goosebumps - for children, for people in nursing homes, for the rivers and the sky. In the little Kingower church, now a community meeting place, surrounded by the mesmerising photos of Maryborough’s Wal Richards whom they used to call “the wedding man”, Archer presents an intimate concert including his moving “Little Photographs” and, written especially for this performance, a new work “Memories”. This voice, these songs, in this building, in this landscape: as Archer sings, you’ll find a “garden in your head and you’ll be blessed”.
